Learn to Skate Private Skating Lessons in Collingwood

*Skating Lessons are at the same time each week for the number of lessons chosen.

• Step 1 - Find the time and place you want to have your skating lessons. This can be anywhere; at a public skating rink, an outdoor rink or an artificial ice surface in your basement. Check your local skating rinks for the times and locations public skating is offered near you.
• Step 2 - Select a time from the Bookings that a skating coach is available during the times that you and the skating location you have choosen are available to take the skating lessons. Then just make your booking!
• Step 3 - You will receive an e-mail confirmation of your booking, the coach will also be notified. Then about 30 minutes prior to your skating lesson your coach will send you a link to their Zoom session.
• Step 4 - Arrive and get ready at the skating rink with your skates (and helmet if it's learn to skate) 15 minutes before the scheduled time of your skating lesson. Then you can connect to your coach using the link they provided to you in Zoom 5 minutes prior to the lesson and that's it!

• How do I find a place in Collingwood to take my skating lessons?
  In short, you can take your private skating lessons anywhere you would like to. All cities and municipalities have skating rinks that offer public skating programs and outdoor skating rinks throughout the year. All you have to do is search "Public Skating in Collingwood" or "Outdoor Skating Rinks in Collingwood" and it will be there in the results where you can see the programs, dates and times that are offered. If you have an artificial ice surface in your home you can also use that!
• How many participants can these private lessons have and what are the ages it is offered for?
  You can have as many people as you would like to participate in these private skating lessons. We offer our skating lessons for all ages, so it is entirely up to you, you can use the coach's instructional services any way you would like to!
• Do we need to bring our own skates and do we need helmets?
  You are responsible for bringing your own skates for the lessons and anyone participating in learn to skate or is a beginner should have a CSA approved helmet.
• How are these private skating lessons in Collingwood provided?
  The coach will be providing your with their coaching services remotely online via Zoom and will not be there with you physically on the ice. You will benefit from their one on one instruction as if they were right there with you. You may want to consider mounting your device if you are on your own or have someone hold it up so that what the skater is doing can be seen and then just interact with your coach.

• When you make your booking for your skating lessons in Collingwood, you can only use the services of the skating coach for the type of lessons that you have requested upon booking or that is provided by that specific skating coach. For example, if you select "Learn to Skate", and you are interested in "Roller Skating Lessons" then the coach can refuse to provide you with that service. The only skating lesson categories that are offered by any of our skating coaches are Learn to Skate, Figure Skating, Hockey Skills, Power Skating and Roller Skating Lessons.
• Once you have booked your coach for your skating lessons in Collingwood, there are no refunds. However, it is possible to schedule makeup lessons or exchanges for these lessons including gifting these to someone else that you know. In the event that the skating coach that you have booked for your skating lessons in Collingwood cancels your skating lessons the coach will contact you to reschedule these at no additional cost.
• You are resposible for finding the location and time for a skating rink to use for your skating lessons in Collingwood. We do not offer you any locations and take no responsibility for this. There are however no limitations or restrictions on where you can take your skating lessons in Collingwood, this is entirely up to you.
• All of our skating lessons in Collingwood are offered virtually online via Zoom. You are responsible for being able to have access to Zoom, a device to receive and transmit on, and an internet connection at the location in Collingwood that you choose to take your skating lessons at.
• You are responsible for making sure that you have all of the skating equipment that you need for your skating lessons in Collingwood. This includes having skates that fit and are the proper condition for your skating lessons. Helmets are not mandatory but are stronly recommended for Learn to Skate.
